Hi guys - Following on from Johns post thought would point out the Analyser gives up the Samurai Sword at Sandown - as the motivator animal with a touch of class in the 4.55 Sandown - drawn well enough in 7 and upped to 1m2f - same jock today --
My probable nap and its iffy only cos Elliot has three entries is Abbey Lane in the 3mile handicap hdle at Fairyhouse 3.35 - this is the series final and worth 32grand so they all will be trying - this one will love the ground to bits and went into the notebook (PERTH 300610 3m1f g/frm - ABBEY LANE made it 2-2 since joining current connections and got the longer trip without any fuss. He moved up going easily turning for home and looked sure to win as he pleased two out, but began to idle , and rates value for further. He is a winning pointer, quite a big bugger for hdles and will be a big analyser when he goes chasing - bounced off the ground.)
Was taken with its run 36 days ago on soft ground over an inadequate 2m4f doing its best work at end of the race has all the breeding from Flemensfirth - has Condon on board -- 2nd run in handicap but is abs thrown in off this mark as its DaH on that run was 130 off an official handicap mark of 123 and gets in only a 1lb higher today at 124 with more suitable distance and ground and a track that is the mirror image of Perth.
Good Luck today guys

Motivator Progeny
Saturday
The best laid plans and all that...........the Wifes 87yo Aunt has decided to develop delerium and has taken to her hospital bed, so no Charing but a wonderful trip to Eastbourne....art least I will feel young there!!
I have been sitting with the wify doing scoop 6 as is our wont on a Saturday, we actually agree on three of the selections......
2.05 Sandown Dantari - likes the course (2nd each time it has run there) does well in the summer and the wt is down.
2.20 Haydock Theraya- difficult to seperate from Drill Sergent but has run in better class races recently-and wife
2.35 Sandown Tatiano - because the course stats are better than any of the other closely matched horses.....and wife
3.10 Sandown Balthazar King - difficult to not like Amigale (wife) too and it is Pricewise.....
3.30 Haydock Categorical DG winner and won a listed race last time so down in class...questionmark over the going though. I think it has been raining in't north!and wife
3.40 Mussleborough Ubi Ace spent a long time on this race and could not seperate the top 5 horses....Ubi Ace gets it on the fact it has beaten a slightly greater number of horses than any of the other horses.
Bob I am just running the analysis on Motivator prodgeny - it looks exciting....I'll report back shortly.

Trends for the bet365 (whitbread) Saturday 23rd April)
Hi Guys hope you all ready for a great days racing and filling Yer boots.
Guess our John is off to Charing where he will be in danger of sun stroke at the very least (there are no stands at point to point races mate)
Ok the big race is mouth watering and have given each runner a rating as per the stats -
this is for fun only just to see how important the Stats are as opposed to real life sweat and tears --
Top rated is Lavelle Horse Fire and Rain(Fr) 8 yr old carrying 10-02 who is no forlorn hope with g/frm ground and the odds at 33/1 are way too big for this one -- have to go back to the summer national at Uttoxeter just to see how good this one is winning at the age of 6 on g/frm ground had run on the flat at ascot to no avail only finishing 14th the time before went off like a blue streak at Uttox over the 3m4f had sweated freely and carrying 11-03 under Fehily just kept the gallop disputing the lead all the way was disputing the lead at 3 out where he jumped as if he was just starting the race and sprinted away.Led from start to finish. This is a genuine right handed animal who gets in off the same 126 mark today Lavelle yard are a punters yard and any significant moves for the animal will be significant last time he went to Wincanton in a hdles race - Looked badly in need of the run on this return from a 576-day absence and lost touch on the second circuit. He ought to improve a good deal.
Joint second top rated are Balthazar King and Poker De Sivola who I will pass over on the grounds that Poker was brought down heavily last time and Balthazar is too young and inexperienced.
Baby Run in a handicap from hunters does not appeal even though he gets in off a pretty good weight he is now 11 and the recod for 11 yr olds is not up to much and has had some hard races
Meanus Dandy winner of the badger alle is ridden by Ruby but thats because of the Nichols connection - has won round here over 3miles but that was off a much lower mark than todays and cant see it improving for the ground on its last run at Doncaster on g/frm - I think he would prefer to be on Maktu.
I particularly like the chances of Maktu who can really jump a fence and last run under Ruby Walsh was pretty spectacular at Newbury has a DaH of 146 for that Run and was carrying a stone plus more than the winner 3m2f good ground has run a really good race to be second around this track on soft. He jumps and he stays and is the ideal sort for this sort of race.
Church Island is the horse who has come here with the same prep as last year and top weight makes him look very vulnerable but as ever is a horse to watch for a bet in running
So there you are guys my horse are in blue placed in Purple and lay in Red and hope they hold the stats and win for me - watch out for Church island down the back straight the first time for a big in running price ! Good luck
Result and dont believe how far back it was only to power home Poker De Sivola was simply so good at the end of the race made money on the lays they ground was too fast for Maktu and the top noted Fire and Rain was simply as big as a bus perhaps better take another look to refine the ratings - the form of horses unseating in the national and scotish National is an uncanny stat

The Whitbread
It's the finale of the jumps season today, and the highlight, as pointed out by Bob, is The Whitbread (now known as the Bet 365). I've looked through Bob's trends and I thank him once again for them. I decided to look at my own ratings and then see how my choice fits in with the aforementioned trends. I like Balthazar King - an inproving front running novice that jumps well. Gets in on an OR of 140 has not run over further than 3 miles and a furlong but stays well and could go in at a good price. Not my Nap though :)

Naps table -- am back and have looked at the table
Hi Guys - great weekend coming up and plenty of big price winners for us to punt.
Am I the only one who is looking through the table? looking to see who is sneaky or nice have seen that Douglas has not scored his winner Ingleby Star at 20/1 -- what a naughty Boy to keep it hidden - see what you have started Martin ?- that makes him Leader on £15 quid ...
Will be here to make my Nap Saturday and the the Punchestown meeting -- have to catch the sneaky Douglas.

3.10 Wincanton
Nicholls must be disappointed with the form of Earth Planet, however, he looks to have found a race that this once promising chaser can win. He's been 2nd 6 times in all and hasn't won since a hurdle race at Cheltenham, 3 years ago. Dropping down the handicap should suit and is well capable in this grade, having won at the course over hurdles. A nice price too.
The Bet365 Gold Cup (formerly the Whitbread Gold Cup) Saturday 24rd April
The Bet365 Gold Cup (formerly the Whitbread Gold Cup), which takes place at Sandown on Saturday 23rd April, is a grade 3 handicap chase run over 3 miles 5½ furlongs and it signals the end of the British national hunt season. It is always a hugely competitive race
The Racing calendar has started to become cruel for this race and entries dont look sparkling to tell the truth

Narrowing the Field
Whilst my blog has been down these last few weeks i hope you guys have been taking advantage of Bens Blog – narrowing the Field
http://www.narrowing-the- field.com/ anyone who is interested in horse racing profit must have this guy on side
I cannot agree with him on many points but I can say that using his notes in my analyser has made a profit for me this season.I dont endorse anything that I dont believe in nor do I make any kind of profit from linking our blogs
And now he turns his attention to the flat and the latest publication – free to all makes the case for May First time out trainers – for example and quoting from the text first time out entries –taken over the last 5 years
Sir Michael Stoute
Overall May 90+ day record
Wins/Runs Win S/R % LSP
38/133 29% -£8.91
Win and Place record – 77/133 58% S/R
It’s clear from the above that the Stoute May runners are an
over bet bunch but with a 29% S/R it pays to dig a little deeper.
All 90+ runners in only Group 3 events
Wins/Runs Win S/R % LSP
11/17 65% +£19.28
Win and Place record – 13/17 76% S/R
If we concentrate on his 90+ runners in only Group 3 events (so
basically runners just below the top levels) then we get a huge
improvement in the strike-rate and more importantly the LSP
tells us this is an angle we can profit from.
Setting your analyser to pick up horses for Stout rated 90+ and then seeing the statistics from the VFb for each race its entered gives the edge
so go to Bens blog subscribe for Free and get the edge - you will make money
Hi Guys - 20th April - lottery or form? follow the market? Martin - lets hear from you
Going is faster than the papers say and only one bet for me today in the 4.40 at Hereford like the chances of Bradburne ride Caryss Lad - bred for fast ground and showed return to fitness last time on good ground here at the track recording a mark of 74 which it runs off today - look back to its run at Uttox off 10-12 and its a lag around the back animal so today's conditions are ideal as all it does is finish. It showed it was ready for that Uttox race by recording a mark of 83 before turning out and winning 2m4f -- same preparation today having got today's mark over 2m4f and upped to 2m6f today.
Have no intention of putting up a nap until the closers start to close - so guys have to find the winners rather than me winning it for them by backing in the Sargasso Sea lottery cards...
Martin come on lad why you not giving the reasons why your filly Lily's Angel is your nap and can beat the boys home today - you know will always let a filly run for other people when she is up against the boys and 2 yr old races i leave to you -- they just dont have any interest for me at allllllll
good luck anyway mate
Bob
Post Race - What a race and Jacobs should have won no problems at all but just was too hard a ride from the favourite Border Lad - Caryss lad crashed through one put paid to my chances - thought it ran a decent race without that mistake which was too costly for words - Bollywood ran a decent race but its not going to be as costly as the dreams that jacobs will have about Border Lad losing, it was just legless by the time he reached the last and had enough lead to hang himself - what happened to his horse sense - he just did not give it a breather and the second favvy The Wee Midget was gifted the race
onwards and upwards

Fontwell - some decent types here today 190411
See Martin (who had a winner yesterday in the naps table) goes for the hardest novice chase and Moore for Moore Fruity O'rooney against the King trained Swansbrook and Nichols trained American Trilogy.(American Trilogy holds the highest Mr and its win at kempton was impressive - its run at Cheltenham less so and the fact he ran there puts me off.)
To be honest its always a worry to back against the Moore's at Fontwell but I really do like the chances of kings horse (king has outstanding figures for the spring with his novice chasers and its last run was pretty good at Leicester on g/frm ground beating a 3 horse field out of sight. Went down on his nose jumping the eighth and losing a length or two. However, he was back in front jumping two out and soon pulled right away from his wilting rival. It seems unlikely that he had to run up to his mark of 124 to win this the way he did, but connections believe that this ground was quick enough for him. Ground at Fontwell is seldom that quick and I think he has an outstanding chance of running to his mark today is an improving chaser. But never nap in a Novice chase is good enough reason for me to shy away from the contest.
I am tempted by another race at 4.20 Midnight Macarena but will hold my horses and see how the lad gets on have been waiting for this animal to get fast ground and she has got it today and its a race confined to mares under Aspell - nice lil mare needs good ground was sent off favvy plumpton on heavy ground - johnson said was never travelling had ben second in its hurdling debut to Rizzala in a mares hdle on g/soft and had won its bumper really well on good ground at fontwell. The current Favourite is Sorcillera Flint for Flint tried at 2m2f after its late run against the Henderson hot pot at Ffoss lass -nicely bred for jump racing and returned to something close to the performance she put up on her British debut with a brave effort. She ought to win an ordinary contest if running up to her best. Just that Flint and son seem to be in the doldrums at the moment
Good luck today all

BHA Make Stalls Rule Change already in effect from 1st April
Raceday stewards will be able to declare a horse a non-runner in certain circumstances, after the race as been run.
The provision will only apply to Flat races and on such occasions as when the starting stalls do not open but a false start is not called, or if a jockey is not on the horse when the stalls are released.
As the Rules of Racing currently stand, all horses in the stalls are deemed runners as soon as the starter begins a race, unless a false start is called or there is then a void race for whatever reason.
Another initiative the British Horseracing Authority is launching the same day is starting stalls at racecourses that have been classified as right-handed tracks will be numbered in ascending order from right to left if the stalls are looked at from behind.
Previously, starting stalls at all tracks were numbered from left to right from behind the stalls.
The change in practice will be effective for all races, including those run on a straight course, at those tracks among which are Ascot, Goodwood, Newmarket and Sandown.
Jamie Stier, director of raceday operations and regulation, said: "These initiatives can only be positive for British racing.
"I appreciate there was concern over the renumbering but it makes sense to have all stalls numbered in the same manner and, with the help from key publications, we will have ensured that draw statistics will retain their accuracy and relevance.
"The palpable non-runner Rule is only fair and good news for punters and the other starting initiatives will hopefully ensure less stress at the start for horses and fewer withdrawals."
So the question of stalls and previous best stalls for right handed tracks comes into play for us guys....
Have written to Mark on this - we shall see if the wizard can come up with an adjustment to the current best drawn stats for right handed and straight flat racing tracks - will let you know
