grand national second look 140412 (more to come for the final draft

wow who can narrow this lot down?  these are the stats page for the horses that fulfill the trends of past winners with SunnyHill Boy getting the thumbs up for the ground and mark - old Vic Venturi still gets into the stats at 12 yrs old despite the fact he has been brought down in this race twice  - running tha analyser again bringing in the hennessy runners to see how it affects the outcome - note that Syncrhonised has fallen out of the top horses on days since ran and the ground firming up -- hmmm

Bob, this is a fascinating renewal...Synchonised for old Cup winners who have run in the race...of the 16 winners (according tot he telegraph) 10 did not finish and the much vaunted Golden Miller had F-1-U-F..I have concluded that you need a very different horse to win a Gold Cup than the National.

Vic Venturi interests me (but I wont be staking my months salary on him) and has appeared in many of my analysis too...note he was 2nd in teh Punchestown Gold Cup last year and has been brought down in the two times running in the National and of course has won a Becher over the National Fences..also looks well in at the Weights too..so much for my liking of teh underdog....more realistically West end Rocker possibly fits teh bill best....stats ans luck are very important in this race.

For fun, you will remember that I dreampt Mon Mome would win a couple of years ago well this time it was a horse in a red cap and black stripes: Shakalakaboomboom fits the bill! and of course we must all back Rare Bob in the annual Liverpool Lottery!

Good luck all,

John

Not sure if I am experienced enough to back anything that's in your dreams John -- have to agree its a fascinating race and stats could well be all change -
As usual we have no input from Martin and will go take a look at the naps table to see whats hes tipped up
good luck today I like the Tizzard's in the early races and balleyvessy for Bowne in the 3.25
