A cracking sprint to get the meeting under way, I have plumped for Kanaf who appears well drawn, but wouldn't want any more rain. Wasn't beaten far off this mark l.t.o and was eased when beaten (the stewards cup)
If there was an unlucky horse it was Kanaf, the Stewards´ Cup fifth. Finding himself in last place after a slow start, he met trouble when trying to improve and had to switch, but was coming home fast against the stands´ rail when in the clear. The Portland Handicap would look an ideal target.

that's twice on the trot I've done my dosh on him and been unlucky!!
