My Racing notes - please scroll down to the verbage before looking at the extracts it will make more sense

A fascinating contest with a trio of three-year-olds taking on their elders. At this stage of the season it may be worth rowing in with the older brigade and GRACE O' MALLEY is taken to concede weight all round. Fourth in last season's Irish Oaks behind Sariska, Dermot Weld's inmate has delivered two solid performances in Listed and Group company this season and should be cherry-ripe now over his optimum trip. She's Our Mark and Indiana Gal have stamina to prove and Unity could emerge as the main threat after a smooth maiden success last time.

· Top Tip: GRACE O'MALLEY

Watch out for: UNITY

Read this first please
Hi Guys - a lil time this morning to give an overview of how I pick my animals and sites etc I use.
Thanks to all of you who have asked me questions about my punting - this is an attempt to answer all in one go- If I missed any points you have asked bear with me and I will answer individual questions you send ,

Ok what I use - You need to have an up to the minute knowledge of going and weather changes at the track --- I rely on Racing post (their course correspondent updates are brilliant) -
bookmark http://www.racingpost.com/ - you can for a small fee look at any races you are interested in reviewing I also have the minimum subscription to this site for notes on how animals fared in previous races .
Also the very good and very free online you have to have - At the Races -bookmark http://www.attheraces.com/home/?ref=main+nav&nav=home really good site and loads of free replays
Want to know trends for Big races ?I def use them and advise you to do the same - bookmark
http://www.racecaller.com/ another free site with loads of easy read stats
And my bible is Visual Form book - the link to getting this is at the top of my page and I think it vital to have such an inexpensive form book at my finger tips - have been using it and watching it be developed since 2003 try it for a month for £36 and you will find it the same as me - you cannot bet without it.

Ok so that's what I use and my bets are with betfair in the main and will not ever give advice on how you should manage accounts or betting trends or all that guff -- My rules to follow
  1. each day your ahead of your balance - WITHDRAW BUTTON
  2. when they are not running for you reduce your bets - play the place market only
  3. follow your own bets NOT tipsters
  4. listen read and watch racing - go to the tracks as often as possible
  5. Look at the unfashionable races and develop your betting in them - Hunter chases and bumpers are very lucrative betting mediums
  6. MAKE NOTES
  7. Its Important - MAKE NOTES
  8. when you listen to Betfair radio from the Track correspondent MAKE NOTES
  9. Horses for courses, animals that need a long lay off and first time headgear when down in trip
  10. And the old but true adage - One run for a run, next for a place and the next for a WIN
ok so for a quick trip into the VFB have taken the richest race of the day at Cork the 4.50 1m4f KERRY GROUP NOBLESSE STAKES (GROUP 3) (3yo+) Winner €55,250ATR
Good To Firm 1m4f Number of runners: 6

Go Back to the pages at the top now for this race just a few pages cos lifes too short to keep this up on a Sunday morning

Oh and one last thing - dont be nasty to anyone on Facebook Timeform - its not clever its not smart and who cares if only Mummy loves you

good luck today

Bob
Update Monday - Giving weight to all bar one of her rivals, GRACE O´MALLEY repeated last year´s victory in this race in tremendously game fashion. Setting out to make all at an even pace, she had the inside rail and used it to her full advantage in the straight whenchallenged fiercely by her two main rivals. Whether she was headed or not is hard to say, but if she was it was only very briefly and her reserves of courage were fully tested. The trip and good ground would seem to be the key and she may go now to the Lancashire Oaks. She´s in foal to Shamardal and it looks as though her racing career is approaching its end.
The 1lb overweight put up by the riders of the second and third would seem to have been crucial considering their margins of defeat. Karasiyra tracked the winner and was ridden up to dispute early in the straight, and in fairness to her she certainly didn´t shirk the issue inside the last furlong and a half. She saw out the trip admirably and it wouldn´t be a surprise to see her take her chance in the Irish Oaks.

One of the other three-year-olds,
Unity, had her resolution questioned before she won a maiden at Fairyhouse just over a week ago and it will probably be questioned again after this. Racing just behind the lead, she moved up on the outside of the two leaders to challenge and look the likely winner at that point, but as soon as she got there she couldn´t or wouldn´t go past. It may not be fair to judge her resolution on that as the winner is undoubtedly tough, but questions doremain.
