was so impressed with Rite Of Passage that I made it the horse that will go as far as any after that run. It had never encountered ground that fast before and because it had put up so many great performances over hdles and fences that's where my thinking had him running his best - How wrong can you be -- Had it top joint rated with my selection with the ground being a major minus..
This performance is as good as Yeats ever achieved and that one went on to win again and again.
Would really appreciate Gerry Lennon giving me his views on this performance but will never underestimate this horse whatever type of distance race (and whatever ground ) it is put into - at only 6 years old this is a super star for the next few seasons
