Pam Taylor horse selection

Had a great week at York with the family and friends - too much late nights drinkies and food for an old guy -- but what a week it was - wont bore you with all the details but must tell you of my wife and daughter in law on Friday. Pam likes to punt but cannot be having with my deep analysis prefering her own ( and her late dad's) method of finding winners --- that revolves around stuff like:
  • handicaps horse in the middle of the weights who came second last time (swears by that one).
  • Horse number 5 carrying yellow and green colours at Lingfield park (dont ask).
  • and her all time fav Irish runners at Musselboro/Cartmel /Kelso/Sedgefield
Loves horses and the whole atmosphere of the tracks animals goes racing for the day "the hats" and the sheer pleasure of spending time with Steve and Marie.

Here is the Pam Taylor method of picking big priced winners, beat your husband’s selection is the main aim just to prove he knows nothing --- look at his print out of trends for any race where the Irish have come over --- Back only at the track when taken there by husband and do them on the tote –Ignore the price
do not gallop up and down the stands trying to nick a few quid
Do NOT Consider any other factor in the race, return the print out to husband with distain

The Method and Reasoning --- Look for Irish trainers running here today where he/she has brought horses before (up to 5 runners apparently) but has not won with those 5. – Back every Irish runner in forecasts (win for anything under 5/1bigger than that each way.)

Explain this simple equation to Daughter in Law at lunch - both back the winners and crow all through dinner and onwards

Nunthorpe – yep you know it --1 Sole Power 100/1 - 2 Starspangledbanner 6/4F (my bet)

Ex £417.60

Beating hubby selection is what its all about - (they bought dinner and champers.) So me and Steve did well out of it apart from the crowing we had to suck in.

Showing her this post in order to point out that Edward Lynam had had a winner at York last year (did not Know that at the track mind).

She says that's quibbling of a major nature but its now here for all the world to see she backed without knowing all the facts and therefore is no sort of winner and the crowing has to stop!!!!
