The ground will be the key today grand national - 090411

In my posting of the trends yesterday I have to say there are so many of them the eyes water.
Lets start with
Dont Push It  - negatives are his carrying top weight but there are a hell of a lot of positives - comes into the race at 11 which is not hot old legs get tired quickly but ran off 153 having never done the distance before its run last year ran to a mark of 159 - has only a lb more to find -- its speed figure that day was an amazing 160 on good ground - went well in the same hdle that he pulled up in last year at Cheltenham (before this race) - there was abs no fluke about its win and it deserves to go off favourite - will love the ground

Backstage has been running well in points and is another stayer trained in irealand  by Elliot and under carberry today handles the ground well wasn't disgraced in the fox hunters a couple of years ago negatives are his french breeding was gone to early to tell last year - Mid-division, headway and in touch when hampered by loose horse and unseated rider 20th

Golden kite - runs off bottom weight and looks so well in led all the way in the Munster national on g/frm ground and jumped fence to fence under Shane Hasslet made most for a narrow win, his fifth over fences and by far his most significant. Well-suited by the ground conditions, he led and disputed and dug deep under a fine ride to just shade the verdict. He had finished in rear in the Kerry National on his previous start, something trainer Adrian Maguire attributed to the eight-year-old becoming detached after being hampered by a couple of fallers in the early part of that race.  the right age at 9 and the other great key stat ran in a hdle last time ran to a mark of 131 and is off 131 today has done all its winning on sharp tracks and seems that the last hdle was to get him to run left handed Irish trained amateur ridden can he stay? 129/1 this morning makes this one a place bet with chances.

Surface to Air an absolute stayer and the forgotten horse in the race won the 4miles at uttoxeter in 2008 and was touted as a welsh national candidate before his leg problems put him out - never seen  fences like these today - run in fours chases winning 3 of them has 4lbs to find loves good ground

guys there are so many hard luck stories this race its hard to see why anyone would back other than each way - these are my four fun bets and will not be laying out much - hope your there with a shout at the end of the 4m4f - certainly Hope I will be - good luck look for a bookie that will pay out on five places - let me have your views
