Really do think this race will cut up quite a bit yet cannot move away from Jeu De Roseau who won so well over hdles at Sedgefield last time bred from Monjeu
will be really up for it today and my main bet - dont have time to put up all the reasons
am out the door before it can bang me bum on the way out
Result --- They didn´t go much of a pace in this staying handicap with the result that a few took a grip and there wasn´t much covering the first seven at the line.
Considering the steady gallop, Irish challenger HUNTING TOWER did well to win from so far offthe pace and gain his first success on the Flat since July 2007. He has been successful five times over hurdles since that last Flat success so he remains capable under both codes.
First Rock was having his first try in a Flat race on turf having raced in bumpers and on the all-weather up until now. This was a decent effort too, as the way the race was run may not have been ideal, yet he was just about in front 2f from home but couldn´t withstand the winner´s late effort.
Jeu de Roseau, 5lbhigher than when winning over C&D in July and a winner over hurdles at Sedgefield last time, was off the bridle turning for home and the early pace wouldn´t have suited this proven stayer either, but he never gave in and battled all the way to the line.
