LADBROKES MALLARD STAKES (HANDICAP) (CLASS 2) Good 1m6f132y

This year’s renewal  at 1.55 Doncaster has past winners and should be a cracker with some in form animals with form at Chester and York where previous winners had finished in the first four.

The favs are usually from the younger brigade and they have an improving profile  3 and 4 yr olds having won  7 of the last running’s with 2 5 yr olds and one 7 yr old last year under Spencer (who has won three of the last ten)

Eternal Heart,  had been disappointing at Chester where he got all sorts of trouble  before he ran Motrice a decent race at Goodwood over 1m6f g/sft when he recorded  Dah of 108 (had  a bit to find at the weights,) was the only 3 yr old in the race he appreciated the good test of stamina and kept on dourly. He has more to offer as a stayer on this ground and distance getting in here at what is a pretty light racing weight. Won really well at Sandown on g/frm ground over 1m6f   carrying 9-07 and takes its racing well was considered a derby horse by the yard only being withdrawn late May.  Will Do for me

good luck today guys

Been watching and following you for a while Bob and had also picked this horse before you tipped it.

Was a poor performance, ending last I think!

Still, onwards and upwards..

Really disappointing run wasn't it - did not quicken off that moderate pace like I hoped and expected was never going to win from 2flngs out where it was eased - Funny ole bugger Old Hundred winning it makes me groan especially as I backed it at 20/1 when it won here but gave it no chance today - such is racing thanks for the comment!
