Epsom Clerk of the course Andrew Cooper has concluded his final inspection of the course and had some interesting news that in-running punters should pay close attention to.
He said: "The ground in general is pretty dead really and tacky in places which is very unlike Epsom. We've had no appreciable rain since Tuesday and the going remains good to soft, good in places."
Regarding the GoingStick, Cooper added: "The overall reading is 7.1 but as is often the case the reading on the stands side in the home straight is faster than that of the far side. The far side is 7.1 but the stands reading is 7.6. It also walks a bit faster, more like good going on that side.
"I would expect action at some stage to take place on the stands side. The rail position today means it's a long way from the inside rain but once tracking across it will be better ground."
