Monday Racing 6th January 0212 Result

Result The feature handicap and it was run at a fair gallop. Sound form.

1 Mister Marker 100/30
2 Posh Bird 3/1
3 Abbeybraney 16/1
7 ran Distances: ½l, 10l, 4l
TIME 7m 1.30s (slow by 59.30s)

MISTER MARKER ran out a game winner on this return to fences and won his first race since March last year. He travelled kindly on the inside and was still going strongly three out. However, he had to dig deep to repel the runner-up and was all out near the finish. He was nicely handicapped on his previous best effort and it was his highest winning mark to date. His trainer later remarked he could head next for the gruelling Eider Chase back over 4m at Newcastle later this month.

Posh Bird was hiked up 9lb for winning on her second outing for the yard over 3m6f at Catterick last month, her first success to date. She travelled sweetly and looked the one to be on in between the final two fences. She could only find the one pace when locking horns with the winner, though, and found that rival too resolute. This was another improved effort in defeat and she ought to be winning again before long.

Abbeybraney sprung back to life on this return to a suitably longer trip and debut for another new yard. He´s well handicapped if able to build on this.

Abbeybraney for me in this race, runs the ground and raced pretty decent in the Betfred Beecher. Today off a really low mark is my pick at 20s here.

Following the season trough, it would be mad not to trade back inrunning. What ive seen is really extreme inrunning swings, or horses just stopping online. My rule is 7.0+ odds i set savers around 3.0 and 1.05...etc. and when i back 7.0- before i lay back around 2.0- odds.
Odds on shots just get a really low saver under 1.1. How mad is it when youve a 50/1 shot trading at 4.0 and you didnt trade out?

well yesterday I traded like a demon on all the selections as is my normal forte -- I like a green book with each selection - not always possible setting the parameters is not simplistic though the theory is - I obviously always want my stakes secured or have a saver on another selection when stake saving is not an issue! if i can go green that's cool but with selections outside single figures - aiming to win 50% more on the win bet with the lay secures a profitable return either way - nicer to get the win without the lay but that way madness lies even if you do feel like the king of the track - Betfair is the punters pal for sure
