Sunday Racing - Ffoss Las 190212 Gentle Bob

The going is predicted as soft for the track and some  half decent animals on show
I have only one analyser horse running for me today and that's Gentle Bob in the 3.00 - 2m5f  - up 8lbs for a facile win her last time. Its the same grade today class 4  The Vfb gives it a major chance today at current odds of  7 Betfair.
This animal  (sired by Bobs  Return) and ridden by Brennan again today absolutely relished the heavy ground last time coming right away (from not very good animals) can mix it with some better animals today (he was racing against animals that really hated the ground last time) and some in today's contest will have better chances of beating him  on the soft going but you had to be impressed with its run - led to 2nd headed  approaching third  and went out to 7.2 as he was outpaced to the 6th but was travelling well within himself and in a great rhythm switched to the inside,  and the field still well grouped at the last bend - he then scooted away from them and went on at the final ditch pouring it on to win going away by 13l at the line. he is a pretty big animal and the 8lbs rise is well within his scope - brushed a couple in the early stages but got better and faster as the race went on - he's bred to stay much further than this. race was slow by 56 secs
Victors Serenade ( sired by Old Vic) is currently being backed off the board and is an animal that all tracks seem to suite, animal that you have to respect - showed he is a thorough stayer in mud at Towcester over hdles  but better marginally a right handed animal that needs three miles on a testing track.  The National at Fontwell ended with him refusing after running prominently and though that race was won by Giles Cross (blog animal) he never really figured and ran a really hard race that I believe will have taken its toll on this one
Danger has to be Douryna (sired by Generous) who matched strides with NiceOneFrankie - if she can produce the same standard going left handed ( a negative for me) her jumping was sorely tested against Frankie but the support for anything coming from the in form Tizzard yard  means she is well under priced for what she has achieved in my opinion (race was on soft ground slow by 33.6 secs Yes she can improve for its second run today but it is quite right handed animal to my eye. and I am loathe to give the mare a chance in this race today

So  Gentle Bob decent size bet from me

 good luck Bob
