Today's Racing is superb 180212

Have added my thoughts of  the winner of the Haydock national Trial ( on the trends post below)

2.10 Haydock - Brindisi Breeze made the filed look  like a bunch of platers last time and is in great form loves the ground (has an action like a tractor) and well priced at 4/1 currently

2.25 Ascot - Hells Bay has a lot to prove now to show its form  before the leg injury but went so well last time for the first two miles to hint at a bit of a comeback but this race is made for Pearly Steps who impressed so much last time at Haydock 3.5l behind our selection According to Pete and has the best formlines on offer - "come on Daly get your horses right"

2.45 haydock  too many close to make a pick this race and will watch it

3.00 Ascot a thriller of a race 8 of 10 winners were priced under 6/1
5 of the last 6 favourites have won this and only one horse priced in double-figures has been successful in the past 10 years.
Favourites (6-1-10) have gained 6 wins in the past decade, giving a level stakes profit of 4.64.

Summary:
Based on the trends from the past 10 years you are looking for a horse:
·         Aged 7 to 9 (especially 8yos)
·         Run 1 to 4 times this season
·         Previously run in at least 6 chases
·         Won a graded chase
·         Won or placed in a grade 1 chase
·         Won over 2M 4F+
·         Officially rated 150+
·         Course winner (or having first run here)
·         Finished in the first 5 in the Arkle as a novice chaser
·         Trained by Paul Nicholls or Nicky Henderson
·         Priced below 5/1 (favourite especially)
and will take the form of Medermit to win this - loves the track and has fitness on his side to beat home Riverside Theatre who comes back from an injury and does run well fresh but Medermit has the beating off him

will also be taking my chances on Marodima in the 3.10 at Wincanton  I think it is well within its compass to notch up the three timer  - ground track distance all the same to this wonderful front runner. Hunt Ball will be all the rage, likes the track for sure but does not have the profile of my selection - I have more to fear from Easter Meteor
3.35 Ascot and like the chances of Top weight Smad Place and a place chance on Emmas Legend who is much better than her 33/1 price will be watching for  front running performance from King Edmond for a BTL as the distance today will stretch him and though staying on stoutly to beat Renyard last time over 2m1f  and this extra 2flngs may be just out of his reach

3.45 Wincanton - a watching race for Binocular to win and any resurgence from Nearby now with Rebecca Curtis (previously Hobbs)  is notoriously difficult to get fit and its run for this stable last time was not encouraging  buit this is his track trip and ground - capable of spring a surprise or going out like a lite!

The joker today has to be the 150/1 shot Inspector Quics in the 4.10 Ascot  I know I know it has done absolutely nothing in the book and have to say he is more of a handicap animal than today's trial but please watch the animal who has been difficult to train and looks a solid prospect in the weeks to come Hills has kept him and if its temperament or just plain thicko animal it has talent that's for sure.

 Good Luck today guys

Plenty of really good horses have won this in the past, and many have gone on to make their mark over fences in due course. However, this was a huge performance from the front-running BRINDISI BREEZE. He was a really impressive winner at Newcastle indeep ground last time and defended an unbeaten record over hurdles in this, but this performance lifted his profile to another level and he can rightly be considered a solid candidate for the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham next month, although the niggling doubt will be his ability to handle ground much quicker than he encountered here. He´s a smart prospect.

Brindisi Breeze on Saturday looked very impressive, Alan king looks set. they have a few winners at Cheltenham Festival William Hill Horse Betting this year same as Balder Success who looked very good also.
