Pause and Clause -- and Bubbly Bruce - Bobt

 Hi John - as requested!
Pause and Clause 1.05  - a bit iffy early at Ascot for sure and was backed a bit  but will stay on pedigree. All blue in the book these are not as stiff as Ascot fences so that's a plus - all right handed is a plus and my notes show he can match strides with the likes of  Diamond Harry and Burton Port in a valuable race over the fixed brush hurdles at Haydock in November 211109 says he's ready this time of year.  Triggerman has decent notes as well-Jumped to the right when second on his Worcester novice chase debut, but for which he would probably have beaten Balthazar King. Came back the other way round at Exeter  but failed  against Dovers Hill . Although he won two novice hurdles at Wincanton, he’s suited by a galloping track, and while Folkstone is quite sharp  the extra distance today puts him bang in there --
Joker in this race is the unfancied currently 20/1 betfair Canni Thinkaar who is well underrated against the big stables here - Class 3 chase at Folkstone last time over 2m5f . well up with pace and took it up in straight off a fastish run race on soft ground jumped and pinged its fences under Gemma Davison- (this is a great trainer daughter combo) Have been waiting for this animal to come back to the track - frosted off last time entered) Ravethebrave beat it here last time and that one went on to run at Cheltenham conditional jocks and ran a stormer behind the likes of Fine Parchment and Safari Adventure
Canni Thinkaar has beaten two entered today and the rest though from better yards are pretty indifferent jumpers. the extra distance is a plus in my mind as was coming back on the run to the line

Bubbly Bruce 1.35 all my notes say is it won a bumper very well at Thurles and is a decent animal beat home Super Villian  who seems quite progressive the big plus for it is the success rate of tongue tie for this trainer plus Fehily in the saddle !  Sherwani Wolf is a weight carrying animal and the fav Oscar Papa out of presenting could be anything with distance c/orb and ground to liking
dont think will be taking my chances in this race though
good luck with your nap today (whatever it is)

Bob, absolutely Spot on about Triggerman.....as for Pause & Clause we have to expect them to have off days.....and even combined wisdom is fallible.

I sometimes wonder if trainers put a horse over fences knowing that they will struggle and then make a killing back over the hurdles. Is the Lavelle yard a betting one? (sorry to be cynical!)

Hi Martin - decent nap you put up yesterday - backed against it to my misfortune - Mccoy on Kylenoe Fairy gave him a race but no cigar!
