Plumpton 3.40 3m2f ground dead!

Its the only race that is over a distance and am keen to take my chances for the only bet of the day on Bowen's only runner
Amazing Valour who has come a long way for this and Bowen does well when he comes down to the south east -  20% strike rate  - O'Brien rides (16% strike rate)  and though the ground is riding dead and tacky the prices at around 18s at current time look very generous for the win and place market - this one is a stamina bred animal and I think he is up for it off this mark am only worried about jumping out of this ground - performed well to get third on soft ground last time off a mark of 82 and gets in today off 77  - yep its bred for better ground - but Bowen knows he wont get that around here and could be a handicap snip ---

Hey Bog

Please excuse my ignorance but; Handicap snip? I have never come across that term. does it mean only running for a handicap mark?

Good luck

never been called Bog before Mark!
really all it means is its mark is so low that it will be subject of a gamble if the yard thinks it is firing if they don't back it don't you either - they will profit from this mark when they get the animals ideal ground as it will drop a few pounds and be well in - next time it runs over a distance on good ground - get on

well it drifted like a barge and never acting on the ground - his mark will slip again and look for a bet from the yard for this one - the winner looked pretty good as it happens - A moderate staying handicap that proved a decent test and it served up a tight three-way finish.

PRETTY PENNY was difficult to assess on this debut over regulation fences for her small yard, but she arrived on the back of success in a good mares´ maiden between the flags and opened her account under rules with a gutsy effort. She was put into the race on the final circuit, but jockey Felix de Giles had to work hard to get the desired response from the third-last and she evidently needed all of the trip. There could well be more to come as she´ll still be at the right end of the weights after a likely rise. She also holds an entry at Towcester this weekend. and that track will suite her to the hilt - worthy of atr tracker guys
