Cheltenham 151011 yippee NH is Back

We Are Back and Cheltenham has a very decent card - maybe not the greatest punting card but some very very decent animals out .
Small stakes is the order of the day for me and my attention has turned mainly to the late races and in particular the 5.05 -RYMAN BUSINESS CLUB AMATEUR RIDERS´ HANDICAP CHASE (CLASS 3) (4yo+ 0-125) Winner £5,996 RUK Good To Firm 3m110y Number of runners: 8
this is as usual a very competitive card and winners have come  from all over the price range

Bown won it last year with Quattrocento  under this same pilot off an official raring of 113 and though achieved 118 has done very little since and is an in and out performer who can run as high as 122  horses have won this on the bounce and it likes the track
Iheardu has pieces first time  and bottom weight - a strong traveller who hit a flat spot last time and will strip fitter today and a decent rider who has ridden the track well
Will be looking for money for Dammam who impressed me on its run round here in a hunter chase and runs well fresh - he did jump right handed but is a stayer and a fine leaper and to tell the truth think will be well punted (Non Runner)
here is my screenshot - click on it to enlarge
good luck today its a great day for the sport -- just one point -- how many riders get the whip ban today?
result ----  There was a fair gallop on and the first pair came clear from two out. Iheardu was 12/1 betfair  5 mins before the off and backed right down - filled me boots down to 9.8 so happy bunny

The well-backed IHEARDU needs everything to go his way, but he got a lovely ride from his decent Irish amateur and there was little faulting his attitude after the last. He´s better over fences than hurdles and does stay well. It was good to see him pick up after briefly coming off the bridle when hitting the second-last and this strong-travelling 5yo is capable of defying a likely rise. This was his trainer´s fifth winner from just 11 runners at Cheltenham.

Battlecry made a bold bid to make all and land his first ever success as a chaser. However, he hung his chance away and handed the race to the winner by going badly right after the last.

Earth Planet was confidently ridden, but he´s fiendishly hard to win with and downed tools when the race got really serious nearing the home turn. He rates the benchmark.

Last year´s winner Quattrocento was 5lb higher this time, but had the same pilot back on and went well for a long way. He was done with before hitting the penultimate fence, though.

what I didn't raise this morning was my lay horse Nudge and Nurdle who did it again for me - cannot believe the lays we have got away with on this animal

decent performances  from  one or two and in particular Henderson's   Western Approach - in the analyser as the one to take out of the runners today and will be highlited for this coming season as the filly bred from Westerner she will do even better and could figure next year big time - Western Approaches was a debut winner of a bumper back in May and was placed on his next two starts in that sphere. Her leading trainer has yet to hit top gear this term and she proved easy to back for this switch tohurdles, but ran a big race in defeat. She kept finding for pressure, having come under pressure around three out, and would have very nearly won had the winner not carried her right on the run-in. This well-related 4yo fully deserves compensation.
