3.00 Windsor is a poor auction race but one takes my eye - Scarlet Rocks in pieces for the first time for PD Evans and ridden by Atzeni over the 6 flngs is still an attractive price on Betfair at 21.0 is bred for 6flngs though hasn't done the trick yet. Evans is a Monday trainer and has animals to suite.. any money and this could turn out a very nice lil bet - was chopped to death last time at Wolvs when starting an eye catching run. Handles g/frm ground and decent drawn in 12 will be backing 80/20 place win market and should go green if its backed as I expect it to.
Result --- 1 Scarlet Rocks 11/1
NR: Silver Wind
13 ran Distances: 2¾l, ¾l, nk
TIME 1m 10.90s (slow by 0.40s)
Few got into this, with the race dominated by runners who had been prominent throughout.TIME 1m 10.90s (slow by 0.40s)
SCARLET ROCKS hadn´t won since July last year, but the cheekpieces appeared to produce significant improvement. Dropped to claiming company because connections think her handicap mark is too high, she was nonetheless officially rated 16lb behind the best-in, making the performance even more meritorious.
3.10 Spinatrix looks a better animal with cut but is so well handicapped to repeat his run on this ground today. Bit of a plodder for a sprinter that's true but is a true front runner whos stamina for 6flngs tempts me at the current 10.0 on betfair with a BTL as the price should drop like a stone in running
result - rubbish has to have 6flngs - and softer ground - Dwelt, soon prominent, ridden along on inner 2f out, weakened entering final furlong (op 8-1 tchd 17-2) easy to get out as he went right down in running
