Get yourself an electronic form book guys

Today was one of those days when nothing much went wrong - and all thanks to a proper study of the form in a quick and easy way.
I dont care what form book you have as long as its computerised and you can access all of the information all of the time - If you don't have one seriously think about getting one. Racing post on-line at £7 a month is the cheapest and allows you to make notes - it has all the facts including going changes and course correspondent - the down side is   you cant compare all of the animals on one sheet nor can you change the going for your race - bit long winded but essential information.
I use the electronic form book VFB - as does Martin who contributes to the page. This is the real deal, as is the Racing interactive form book produced by racing post (unfortunately twice as expensive but a good deal never the less) this gives me everything I want fast and accurately - it costs about £1.17 per day racing ( they don't do free trials have asked them too but the book has such a detailed data base they are reluctant to let it go for free)
its 82 odd quid for 10 weeks then you can get it monthly for about £36.

Now there have to be other electronic books but I don't know of them but I urge you to get into racing and away from daily papers and trying your own - unless that is you have a format that compares - but am willing to bet it wont) you can have any form of analysis  horses to follow being the easiest -- am now starting to use the information provided by Ben for Sires that I haven't really been using till now - we are all learning still!

so just to show a little of what a good day can bring here are the postings i put up on  Timeform Radio facebook today

2.30 Plumpton Nov handicap chase with some terrible leapers in the nxt at Plumpers - will take a chance with the top weight who seems to like the track - looks too high but in the main jumps well - Take A Mile for interest stakes only  --- 3rd at 5/1   (Notebook had to give the winner a stone plumpton too high in the weights but will drop a bit for this 190910 2m4f chase great run)

‎2.50 uttox another for interest bet for me in Royal Flynn - loves a long layoff likes the ground well handicapped is best of these –won 6/1

And tipping my hat to my pal martin - 3.10  Hamilton State Opera first run but interesting stat by Shamardal out of Unfuwain and the trainer/jock record at hamilton (have taken a check on the record and see Johnston has won this particular race 4 times and of that two were newcomers) – 2/1 winner !

3.20 Uttox - am having a fun bet now with the visored first time Easment in the place market - a decent hrdler who has had problems but a trainer I rate for outsiders - do not reccomend you follow me on a 32s place animal but watch it to see how it goes today after a layoff of 1077 days 66/1 second btn ¾ length – analyser horse now

3.40 hamilton will play the horse coming back to some form at last in Cool Baranca with easy ground could make a fist of it in a small field  finished 3rd at 12/1

3.50 Uttoxeter Santara the mare is back to her winning mark at uttox and looking good for Flint won so well 7/1

4.10 hamilton Royal trooper drifting but for no good reason likes this trip and down to its mark on ground that will suite her - too big a price for an animal that can stretch in a finish 6/1 winner

4.40 hamilton will have a chance on Rockweliier to see if this track will suite well handicapped (nope ran a cracker but not its track type wait for easy track)

4.50 Uttoxeter Classic Fly in its first chase in the place market for me always looks a chaser l - good battling animal over hdles that it tended to jump big showed hes fit enough last run What a smashing run 2nd but so close both he and the winner from fence to fence and ones for the notebook and analyser

5.10  Hamilton last - nightmare race too many matched form/profile - will take a chance for the place market on - Monte Mayor One and lay the favourite Ritual who is way too short for me Ritual won ! And got it in running to nullify the loss Monte mayor One no show

5.20 Uttoxeter Rebel Swing is bred to stay and stay and upped to its distance today - sue Smith yard coming good at last and worth a bet for me – won well comment - snt it great to have some in the locker and you take it in running at 20s - then it went out to 50s and thought my day was gone ---but this family stays and stays - good winners today but that was the most exciting won so well

if you were on the page hope you took advantage - got plenty of congratulations and the book is what done it for me (as they say) -  though its yummy to get so many congratulations !

I haven't really been interested in tipping  horses - more exchange of ideas - We used to have a forum of Vfb Users and the value of different eyes different notes and postings added to the pleasure of the sport -If you use an electronic book, of any kind, Please let me know I want to expand the blog to more posters and get the ideas rolling.

Am sure Martin will back me up on this -- and no we do not have any financial interest or management of the book - just have used it for 7 years and a bit of a disciple --
