Cheltenham 121111 my selections

Well apart from rather erratic posts from Martin (god only knows what he's on about the number of post - "Nurse martins been at the meds cabinet again"

I have enjoyed reading the posts this morning and wish you all the best of luck in running for what should be a fantastic days racing

1.20 is a very interesting Novice hdle that King targets and today runs Secret Edge (Wetherby 281011  a 2m easy ground Flat winner, had been runner-up on his hurdling debut earlier in the month and his stamina proved the vital factor here. Always tracking the pace, he emerged as the main challenger to the favourite after the second-last and managed to force his head in front near the finish, despite his rival leaning on him. He looks a typical tough juvenile and his trainer does well with this type.) is well in on the book for a small  win bet

1.55 Chicago Grey is a nice bridle staying type that runs well this time of year - true it misses a few out but ran well enough in the Charlie hall to suggest he will relish the trip today - can see why martin has a punt on Hey Big Spender but this distance will cook it unless it gets a lot more rain methinks
2.35 The paddy Power - took my each way on Fine Parchment  at 40s last night but no great movement in the market as yet  am convinced this animal has a big win it sometime and today would be very nice - holds loads of stats that convince me of a big run - My highlighter picks up the following  Dave's Dream for the win is a typical bridle stayer. Tizzards animal Oiseau De Nuit ran a stormer at Exeter last time behind Medermit and Cornas is no back number at the age of nine  The Giant Bolster is no lay animal  In fact I would not dream of laying a horse in this race.

3.10 My Shamwari  who is a real bridle staying type and looks the right one to be on  and  Dorset Square who is a bridle horse typical of a late run are only tentative selections in a very difficult race

3.40 look at the stats for Shallow Bay (blnks for the first time for Pipe) convinces me that this is the yard big hope today they used to farm this race and am betting a decent lump on this one  it ran a very solid race against Rades Big winner Dormouse  making his handicap debut, was given a prominent ride and gained an advantage off the final bend, but the horse took a big look at the hurdle going to two out and was readily outbattled by the winner after the last. A race will be won with him as soon as things fall exactly right.

4.10 will leave alone""""""""

thanks for the interest - lets go get the layers today

 Bob

Make sure Nursey gives me the correct meds this time please! The number of posts since you started the blog is now over 1000, that is what I was talking about - maybe YOU need the meds !!

Chicago Grey appeals to me in this race, after i checked your selections, as it ran against much better animals LTO. Good price!

And Oseau De Nuit is a shocking price as you said, cause ran also against very good animals troughout the last races.I will have a very small Each Way and Win Bet on him.

Martin - I know how many posts there have been where the readers come from ( many from Russia and growing ) its just not an important factor for me to get excited about mate

and yes the point of the blog is to say why the horse you select will win not leave the rest of us to guess - anyway that's the theory

I never leave anyone guessing mate. My money is put where my mouth is ...I think that's right lol
