Saturday 191111 - what a days racing for the real fans

I have 10 horses pop out of the analyser for today and that's pretty near unknown for one day.
Start with the Betfair chase -- its a watcher guys its a watcher - Anyone taking the odds on Long Run  better have in mind the 50/50 win ratio of animals who have won the gold cup and have come out and flopped on their first run back... Most eyes will be on the run from the old boy Kauto Star thats for sure - this is probably its gold cup now at the age of 11 would love to see Pure Faith run a big race though its breeding suggests its too far for it  you had to be impressed with its 1l second to Albertas Run its jumping was just superb - Bowen has won this race with Snoopy Loopy at 33/1 - is a class act but surely this 20/1 for a place is still short of the odds it should be -- its a braver man than me to pick the winner in such a close contest
Iheardu  1.00 Ascot already spoken of by Rade  I  blogged it and won well at cheltenham 141011 travelled very well bottom weighted 3miles travelling in the right direction over fences has the right stats for the track and distance and my private handicap makes it well clear of this mark -- (its run at kempton was better than it reads as it had Andrew Thornton giving it no help from three out riding it like a big ballon - jacobs on board makes this one a live bet for me too but its a decent race today and have taken le Corvee  to run a big race as well - am sure he has to improve for this stiff test but is a decent jumper and to my mind this 3miles is what it has been crying out for am daft enough to take this big place price for him

1.45 Huntingdon Rissala for me on its second run --it loves this track and ground no problem today

3.20 Ascot my main bet will be on King Edmond in this how it got beaten last time i dont know just ring rusty  still it needs two or three runs to get right -- and showed it is a superbe jumper of fences and make him the pick today

So Enjoy your day at the races Martin -   have to rush off now hopefully back before the races to see what you guys fancy

Pure Faith.......never run more than 20f but.Anshan aver dist of progeny 22f +-4.......I would not discourage from backing at small stake. Remember its performance in the Old Roan...but he had 10lb from the winner on that occasion. As Bob says a fascinating contest....Sandie says Weird Al for her as he has had a run already...givens Kauto seems always to need a race (see Down Royal runs), Bob's info on Gold Cup winners..and of course Diamond Harry does go fresh..you pays your money and takes your choice!

had not taken that fact about Anshan progeny in John - that's a very good piece of research very decent results especially with the wins by Asian Maze over 3miles - never seen any sort of stats for its dams sire though (Amazing Bust) and don't intend making any remarks about that name

its a race to savour

Well that was a grand Days racing a top hat boom for the ole Boy Kauto Star who abs ran them into the ground - this was a high class renewal and everything you could wish for. The rest of my animals ran well enough but no Coconut - though the run of Dynaste was just incredible the pace was red hot and yet he scooted away from them having forced the pace? Come On that was astonishing
