Betting Bots

Bob asked me to write something about betting bots.

Good Idea or bad idea, for those of you that have never used one.

As far as I know, no Bot is free. So the monthly cost has to be taken into account.

I for one don't really need to use on. People who tend to use them either have day jobs, or do other things and prefer to be free, rather than be sat in front the computer all day.

The plus side is that you add in different filters. Such as if there are 1/2/3 non runners, no bet.
If a jockey is withdrawn, no bet.
You can tailor the Bot exactly to your betting needs.
You can earn money while you are away working or having fun!
Using a betting Bot take the 'emotional' side out of betting......

You know the day isn't the best, it has starting to rain, the ground changes, do you, don't you...oh it's that jockey again!

Just do the sums, put in the filters and place the bets on the bot, when you come home your bank will be up or down, without the emotional side getting involved.

That bit I did enjoy, using the Bot....

The downside.... all filters in place but it is a dire day, you had not expected.
All the bet's go on and all (in my case) WIN!!!

Oh dear! Even though you have set a parameter on what you want to lose (1%)- 2/3 losses...there is still a hole in your betting banks...

For me I prefer to sit here, see how racing goes and put the bets on as they come.

I may have a list, as per blog but that doesn't mean they all go on by the end of the day.

Some days all will go on and other days, 3/4 for example.

So, try a Bot, see if it works for you. Certainly with laying your liability is certainly more and more risky, so to speak but always worth trying something new to see if it works for you.

There are a number of Bot's available such as 'Greyhorse Bot'. Terbium. Probetsuk.

Have fun....TGLL

Sounds scary......... like you say I prefer to sit there and ponder each race before the off - the "live" thrill of a win is the drug we crave - oh and the money

Ha Ha Macroman.....

No I don't like the Live thrill as such....

I prefer to just be calm rather than getting stressed out, Bot or no Bot...lol

when you said you wanted to put a blog up about your bot - I was unaware you did not have one Marriane and as for you not really need to use one - the whole essay now reads as complete Peter Cook script!I quote
"As far as I know, no Bot is free. So the monthly cost has to be taken into account.

Love it to bits - as the ancients used to say LOVE YOUR BOT and It will love you !
