Result and comments November handicap Bob T

well the trends did not give the winner - and will have to be looked at again for next year Times Up 14/1  - 4yr old drawn 9 carrying 8st 3lbs 2nd last time out Dunlop and Dane Oniel(top track jockey today)  I just did not read them correctly! my selections failed miserably and was not on betfair to get out of trouble - here the result and Racing Post comments :-
A typically competitive renewal on paper, but in the end TIMES UP won a shade cosily. Only 1lb higher than when runner-up to Willing Foe at Newmarket last time, he was meeting that rival on 4lb better terms and comprehensively turned the tables on this easier ground. He deserved this for a string of consistent efforts.

The Betchworth Kid, runner-up in this race in 2008, repeated the feat. A stronger pace from the off would have suited him better considering his style of running, but he still finished like a train, passing the whole field bar the winner in the straight. This sort of race brings out the best in him.

Simenon has been campaigned like a good horse this season, contesting Pattern races for the most part, and it was a clear case of his stamina giving out at Newmarket last time. He looked a big player down in distance off the same mark, and did run well, despite racing more to the fore than is normally wise in this race.

Classic Vintage bounced back to close to his besthere on his last start and narrowly reversed form with Salden Licht this time, despite the ground being softer than ideal.

Salden Licht, put up 7lb for his course and distance win last month, repeated last year´s finishing position in this race. He has the potential to land a decent handicap over hurdles this winter.

Prompter ran a sound race considering he faced a pretty stiff task off a mark of 103, while Palomar was keeping on nicely at the end, as one would expect of a gelding whosebest trip is probably 2m.

Tepmokea got to the front and tried not to set too strong a pace, but this is a difficult race to win from the front and he was swamped approaching the final furlong.

Senate had too much use made of him from a poor draw last time. Again drawn wider than ideal for a prominent racer, he was dropped in here and just didn´t run to his best.

Willing Foe beat Times Up at Newmarket last time and, despite being 4lb worse off at the weights, looked to have every chance of confirming that form given his progressive profile. However, he finished well held and presumably failed to handle the easier ground.
