Strictly come dancing form and trends!

Just for fun and because Carole knows am trapped each Saturday by my girls into watching this here are the trends and form for the Strictly Come dance - pro am programme that ends some time around Christmas
I would advise big bets on the elimination stages of the contest and send all Complaints to carole facebook page

The Strictly Come Dancing phenomenon started on 15th May 2004 and ran until 3rd July 2004 with Natasha Kaplinsky and Brenden Cole being crowned as Strictly Come Dancing Champions!

Series 1--   8 contestants (15th May 2004 and ran until 3rd July 2004)
Series 2--   9   contestants   (23rd October and ran until 11th December,2004)
Series 3 ---12 contestants (15th October and ran until 17th December, 2005.)
Series 4 ---14 contestants
Series 5----14 contestants
Series 6--- 16 contestants ( 1 withdrew – John Sergeant)
Series 7--- 15 contestants (1 withdrew – injury)
And currently series 8 ---14 contestants

Sex (probably not a lot) 3 female and 4 male winners

Occupation – male sport 2 soap opera 2 television sport 1
Occupation fems    television  2    sport 1

Semi finals – 3rd place 4 females  2 males ( of the 7 series there was one that had eliminations’ and  straight to the final !
Age – non of the old crocs !

Current series – (betting on betfair) there are still 11 dancers (ruuners) of whom we can eliminate  all but four – 2 women and two men hold the top spots.

Looking at the previous series for clues the top scorer at this stage usually fails at the last fence! (or run in )
There are two still in joint top marking.  Male - Matt and Scott --- top two females are Pamela and Kara – dark horse is Felicity who has shown to have good public support and Gavin (down at the bottom of the leader board currently but young and lady pleaser with a mixture of great body innocence and arrogance)

My hope is Jimi (male?) will be eliminated next round his smugness is not going down well with the public and dances like a ferret on speed – toss up with Michelle ( not a great dancer and American will not attract votes – after these Ann –she could resign out of pure public good will though

Ann will remain in on the public for at least 2 more rounds voting (despite looking like a Tesco bag wrapped around a television aerial)

Then Tina – dancing not hot but young and “cute” but American professional –smug lil swine with a face like Mr. Moon – Toss up with Patsy who can’t dance but is yummy and the girl next door appeal (massive overacting on getting through will count against her)

Then Felicity who dances well is well known but has a sneer for a facial expression

Pam will run out of stamina as the series progresses probably quarter final – she is a super dancer but is more of a speedy type than stayer ( looked to need oxygen after round two dance)

So top three must come from Matt – Scott and to my mind the younger female Kara
The semi final will result in the elimination of Kara.

 Winner -   Scott

Mock me if you dare am becoming either an alcoholic or expert who every sentence is mocked weekly by Pam who having a black belt in ballroom dancing is the family expert - but I do keep quite during some of the more exciting female bodies gyrate

Update 081110 -  the following will be my predicted  winner down to number 9 elimination order

1 Scott Maslen best dancer and the soap opera factor

2 Matt Baker, brilliant dancer who has to overcome nerves

3 Kara Tointon, just as impressive as hell and the cute factor

4 Pamela Stephenson, run out of steam

5 Patsy Kensit, will run out of the male vote

6 Felicity Kendal, age will be the factor at this stage for Felicity

7 Gavin Henson will show his chest cant get him any further than this stage

8 Ann  Widdecombe, withdraw or eliminated should not be there and the joke has worn thin

9  Michelle Williams,   next week elimination (American factor) current betfair odds for elimination 2.02

No no no - DO NOT blame me if it doesn'ty all work out well - I know nothing about the dancing programme!! My only comment would be to look to go green by trading all that info above - back at high odds and lay at lower odds as the stay in the comp so you will win no matter who wins the final. With more on your fav - good luck

ok ok I only meant you should be blamed for making look away from racing for a bet to cheer me up on a Saturday night on the settee being told to stop being critical and to remember I "danced like me dad" anyway -very unfair look very fetching in me cardy and bow tie tight black jeans and slippers doing the lombarda on me own !

Just scanning over some old blogs and came across the Strictly one. As I write this Jimi has been knocked out and he was in the bottom two with Michelle. Where do you keep your crystal ball? Good work Bob. The next challenge is X Factor. A bit more of a challenge

It's all about the trends!

P.S. Where do you get all this past data from? Surely vfb doesn't extend to TV shows :-)

Decent bet on Jimi made it worthwhile to follow the trends - (got them from the official site http://www.bbc.co.uk/strictlycomedancing/

yep its silly yep its nonsense but like all races there are conditions and stats from the past "runners" that can change a Saturday night of tinsel and sequins into something that nursey and daughter want to watch and i have only the minority vote!
