SAT NIGHT AW WOLVERS

Last night the three top selections had a win and two thirds so we kept up the 100% place rate, but a bit dissapointed we didn't manage more then the one winner. Commerce won as expected, Papas Fritas gave a good front running effort and Cape Quarter got backed late and looked good but appeared a bit tricky with a high head carriage and only got third. Onto tonights action...

8.10....
The nod here goes to Mahmood Al Zarooni's charge Male Model. He made his debut on the AW at Kempton and ran a solid race coming third. He then picked up a win at Redcar quite tidily and looks a decent sort. If maintaining the start he has made will be involved at the end.

I think Tinkertown will also run a good race tonight. Won at Redcar in a maiden but then raced poorly at Newmarket but the soft ground did not help that day. Was 3 of 4 lto but that was a decent looking race with VanGuard Dream the winner on the day. If going on the surface here (AW debut) could give a good run.

Pick A Little would be the ''value'' angle in this one. Has been a little in and out but goes well on the AW (1st & 2nd from three attempts). Was 50/1 when chasing home useful runner Jack Smudge two runs back before putting in a poor run lto. Back on the AW would not totally discount in this race but first try this far.

1.MALE MODEL 2.TINKERTOWN 3.PICK A LITTLE

8.50....
Maiden race here so not an easy one to dissect...

Preference is given to Praesepe in this one. I think she will be better suited by conditions and distance tonight then in a few of her previous runs. In a messy race on soft ground at Newmarket she managed a solid fourth with the ground not to her liking. Her debut was over the 5 here at Wolves and she was second. This is her first try back at that trip and I think it can bring about improvement. She is related to some top sprinters so hopefully back to this distance she can show what she can do.

Bushwacker made a solid debut on the AW here at the end of September so will go on the surface. The blinkers seemed to have right effect lto so if they do again has chances. The only thing Im not certain on is the step back in trip as may be better with further...

Doc Hay looks an interesting runner here. an expensive 2yo with a good pedigree and was midfield on debut in soft conditions. Could well come on for that run tonight.

1.PRAESEPE 2.BUSHWACKER 3.DOC HAY

9.10....
Final race tonight and looks pretty trappy.

The horse that gets the nod is Richard Hughes' mount New Code. Im going to forgive his last run over c&d that wasn't a bad race and just didn't see it out that day. Has dropped 3lbs tonight and has been competitive around todays mark (winning off 56) and unlike most of these has a recent win to his name.

Honoured is almost certain to be involved here I think. Form of run at Brighton has been franked but was a tad dissapointing at Lingfield when an evens fav lto over this trip so a slight question mark on whether he is as good this far. Blinkers are on today and could sharpen him up.

Firehawk would be my best of the rest. Isn't one to be totally trusted to confirm form but ran a good second over c&d lto. If in the same mood here will be in the mix.

1.NEW CODE 2.HONOURED 3.FIREHAWK

New Code got our win last nite. Male Model was a tad unlucky made a bad start and got chinned late on but Praesepe came 4th to end our 100% place record! :(
The Blog AW Record reads:
RACES = 12
1ST = 4
2ND = 3
3RD = 4
UNPL = 1
