Tuesday - Welcome John and trends for the weekend Charlie Hall Chase

Hi all and hope you will be generous in your welcome to Macroman (John C) even if like me you don't understand what on earth he's on about! (with the formulae spreadsheet and brain churning first post from him.) The great thing is when we can get his list ahead of the days racing because believe me over time his predictions are very profitable.

TODAY at Taunton -- thanks to Garry at timeform radio  on his notes re Taunton:-
Because of  Taunton's quirky layout, the saddling boxes and stables sitting just off to the side between the last fence and the finish. Horses remember this and try to head off home before the race has finished. And with 25 odds-on defeats in the last four meetings it is well worth laying the field for each race at Taunton at odds-on."

This weekend  - The Grade 2 Bet365 Charlie Hall Chase takes place at Wetherby on Saturday and will be the NH highlight of the weekend. Run over 3M 1F, it generally attracts some of the best staying chasers around. Winners from the past decade include Gold Cup hero See More Business, Paddy Power Gold Cup winner Our Vic and 2006 Hennessy Gold Cup winner State Of Play. Ollie Magern who won the race in 2005 and 2007 is looking to be the first horse to win the race three times.
Stats and trends will be up on Friday night -- here is the current line up and its mouthwatering

Nice mix of establish graded chasers and up and coming types like Weird Al and China Rock. Could be a good renewal of this:
