ones of note today and animals with interest for me

these are animals am watching in the market - will not give a big write up but suggest they are of interest

blue win  purple each way or place - you decide!
2.25 Doncaster - Cape to Rio - win -Comment  Cape To Rio, fifth in the Cornwallis latest, enjoyed the bit of cut in the ground and kept on better than expected, again finishing just ahead of stablemate Invincible Ridge, who had also contested theAscot race and didn´t improve as much as expected for the return to 6f.
2.40 newbury Clowance - Hughes rides has waited this ground and runs so well layoff - Montjue prodigy Comment BLOODY AMAZING RUN- This had the look of a competitive Group 3, but in the end the well-backed favourite( I took all the early odds!) CLOWANCE came through to win quite readily. The only mare in the field, she hasn´t stood much racing over the years and was disappointing on her only previous start this term in the John Porter Stakes (ground too quick), but she was best in at these weights and conditions had come in her favour. In addition, her liking for this track and proven ability to win when fresh suggested a big run was on the cards, and she duly delivered in style. Her owner is keen to keep her in training as a 6yo.
3.10 Newbury - Victoria Sponge --Montjue prodigy and down to decent weight today comment again blew the start!!!!  lost several lengths  and she looked reluctant to race, having her head in the air when asked to leave the stalls. In the circumstances, she did well to get so close.
3.30 Doncaster - Celestial Tryst - showing some decent speed figs of late - poor drawn tempers me Place Comment - Failed to notice this was a hands and heels race !!!! she just did not fire and needs encouragement as they say - this is not the type of race at alllllllll
3.40 Newbury - Hughes for Hannon Face Reality decent figs and extra dist can bring about some improvement-- comment - 4th! made the running on the far side and had a lot of her rivals on the stretch 2f out, but she didn´t really see it out. She might be more effective over this distance next year, but surely won´t be inconvenienced by a return to 6f.

make sure you check out the Hannon Blog - its a very good and honest write up for the day -http://www.richardhannonracing.tv/news.php
