WOLVERHAMPTON AW THURSDAY NIGHT...

Going to pick out three more AW races tonight. Focussing on the final three at Wolvers.

8.10....
Talenti is the preference here under Dane O'Neil. Now the horse has only raced once on the AW (and was last...) But that was a while ago and when he was running badly out of form so I shall hope it was more form then not going on the surface. Has been in good nick with a win at Windsor two runs back and third in a big field at Ascot (albeit a long way back).

I also think Mongoose Alert could run a big race here. The horse has been off a while but last appearence was on the AW and a very close second over c&d if ready for this I think has chances.

The other who should get involved is the (current fav) Paktolos. is 3 from 14 on the AW and been in good form of late and should be involved again.

1.TALENTI 2.MONGOOSE ALERT 3.PAKTOLOS

8.40....
This one will be fast and furious over the flying 5!

There is plenty of speed in this race and I expect Island Legend & Cape Royal (among a few others) to try and dominate from the front. If they take take each other on then it could be set up for something coming just off the pace.

The horse Im going to side with is Angelo Poliziano. Last three runs have been solid(3,2,4). The cheekpieces are back on today for the first time since his Haydock win. The booking of one of my favourite jockeys Silvestre De Sousa is another plus. While he does need to pull out a bit more things could fall right for Angelo Poliziano tonight and should be worth a e/w shot at least.

Argentine is another who I think should be able to pick off a few with a hold up run. You have to forget his last run where he made a poor start and never got into it prior to that had been running well. Blinkers are put back on today.

Forevers Girl could be best of the rest. While theres plenty of pace in this race she is another pace angle but just fancy her to hold out a bit more if going from the front.

1.ANGELO POLIZIANO 2.ARGENTINE 3.FOREVERS GIRL

9.10....
A nice easy thirteen runner field to end the night with...this is extremely tricky.

Marginal preference though is for Richard Hughes' mount Akhmatova. After bombing out badly at Newmarket the tongue tie was quickly taken away and bounced back with a good third at Kempton under a patient ride. She's not entirely straight forward but just think someone like Hughes could give her the ride she needs to get up in this one. Dropped back in trip today isn't of great concern taking into account she won over 1m & 1m2 earlier this year.

Aultcharn could be a lively e/w option in this race. Now this one can be a bit moody... the blinkers are reached for tonight but something like that could just spark a horse like Aultcharn. The ability is there as two seconds in the last three runs suggest and I just think if the blinkers work a big run could be forthcoming.

Hidden Glory would be the other choice to round up the three. The way in which he won lto was pretty impressive. The 6lb weight hike though could put pay to back to back wins.

1.AKHMATOVA 2.AULTCHARN 3.HIDDEN GLORY

Almost a clean sweep on the AW tonight. Talenti flew home to nab the 8.10. Angelo Poliziano came just off the pace to win well in the 8.40 and unfortunately Akhmatova only managed second beaten by a big outsider!!. All in all though very good night on the AW :)
