FRIDAY NIGHT UNDER LIGHTS, WOLVERS AW!

Well it's Friday night so that means another evenings AW fare from Wolverhampton. So been a little while thought Id do the usual three race write up.

The blog record for top selection horses on here stands at...
RACES = 12, 1ST=4, 2ND=3, 3RD=4 UNPLACED =1
So lets hope we can keep the good record up.

7.40....
On first look there seems to be a few here who don't look as if they will put up much of a fight so I already dismissed more then half the field.

The one who gets the nod though is Luca Cumani's Franciscan. The horse has gradually improved with each race and third lto has been franked. Is back up to 7f today and if continuing progression (and handling AW surface) has a sound claim here to pick up first win.

Polar Auroras should also go well. Another who has been ticking along nicely and improving with each race. Was beaten on nursery debut narrowly last month over c&d and goes off only 1lb higher here. The risk with this one though is she has messed up the start three of her four races to date, if away cleanly will be a big chance I think.

Jibaal comes out third. Was a bit dissapointing when beaten fav last time only managed 3 of 6 the soft ground prob didn't help though, AW debut tonight. Has done majority of his racing at 6 so not entirely sure if 7f will be his trip or not.

8.40....
Quite a tricky one this one but getting the vote is Purple Gallery. He has been very consistant over the last handful of runs with just the one poor showing at Kempton three runs back. Has run well on the Lingfield & Southwell AW tracks so should be fine here at Wolvers. The third at Bath lto on turf looked a decent race and that level of form puts him in with a good shout here.

Fine Sight has been running in some decent races over the summer months 5th to Dandino at Epsom prob his strongest form. Will try and do things from the front and if getting an easy lead could have things his own way. Has since joined Gerard Butler's yard and debut for them.

William Van Gogh would just about edge it as the pick of the rest. Has been pretty dissapointing overall with just the one win to his name after always being well backed in his races. That win was two runs ago but since bombed out at Haydock on soft ground after. Is 1 from 1 on the AW so back on the Wolverhapton surface might be more to come.

1.PURPLE GALLERY 2.FINE SIGHT 3.WILLIAM VAN GOGH

9.10....
Final race of the evening and a 13 runner field to contend with.

A bit risky but Im going to side with Shane Kelly's mount Carter. This is a horse I have backed plenty of times this season but without much of a run for my money but....I just think his last few runs have been better and he has slipped down the weights to 52 now to give him some hope (started season off 61). A visor is tried tonight and could be just the type who needs something like that to spark him up.

Saving Grace returns from a 3 month break. Her form before that looks quite good and she is a consistant sort. Won a 1m h'cap earlier this year and has solid efforts off this kind of mark over the summer and that form looks useful in a race like this. The question mark is she might just need this run though after her absence.

James Pollard has been in ok form picking up a good second lto in a big field Nottingham race. His record of 0 from 25 on the flat though would be a concern.

1.CARTER 2.SAVING GRACE 3.JAMES POLLARD
