Champions Day at Newmarket --and a couple at Cheltenham

Hi All
have completed the trends for the big three - please go to the right hand side of the page( labelled Archive - first published Thursday) for the final analysis of
The Dewhurst  2.20 -
Champion Stakes 3.00
and the Cesarewitch at 3.40. (updated again at 1.15!)
See how your animals fit in with past winners

am happy to have a couple of bets at Cheltenham today and have looked at  Smooth Classic under Fehily in the 2.05 runs really well fresh and is an 80/20 place win bet for me  --Smooth Classic proved keen on this return from a 169-day break and that wouldn´t have helped him over this longer trip. He still needs more practice and his optimum distance is uncertain, but he should come on for the outing.-
2.40 is a chase to watch for in running as I dont really care for the favourite under McCoy off this rise in the handicap looked all out at Newton abbott 2m5f and the rise will catch him out methinks up the hill here-- The 4 yr old is something special - Frosted grape has taken a hike in the ratings but has a vastly superior profile than most of these and a bloody good claimer
Again turn my Attention to Moon Over Miami under my favourite Jockey - loves a lay off and though this distance is a tad too far running to his best is a cracking place market price
Would not put you off Oiseau De Nuit under Joe Tizzard - runs well fresh and stable in cracking form - The new second-last saw top weight Gwanako come down as he was battling away for third place, while Frosted Grape, still just a filly, also came down there when held. She caused the most trouble and Oiseau De Nuit unseated after jumping there as he got badly hampered. A drop back in trip now looks firmly on the cards for that one.

 good luck today

 Bob
