Thursday 21 October 2010 Bob T

The The Racing Post Trophy, the final group 1 of the British flat season, takes place at Doncaster on Saturday 23rd October. Recently the race has been a good guide to the following year’s Derby with 3 of the last 9 winners going on to win at Epsom. And will leave the Stats and  Ten year trends till Saturday morning.

The trends and stats for both the Breeders Cup Classic and the Melbourne Cup in November are in course of construction and these are really decent betting races apart from being  amazing races.

Today we have some decent NH races at Ludlow and  Carlisle - here are some animals that you should be looking at  with an eye to races through the rest of the season
Analyser animals ----2.40 Ludlow - one of Dalys better animals laureate Des Loges in a Beginners chase - is an analyser for mares only races has the allowance today and is against some decent animals the Dsr is a worry as not hot first time out - if she is fit then the 12/1 makes her a place bet in her first chase - faced a very tough task on her chasing debut and ran accordingly. She needs more practice, but will look more interesting when faced with a stiffer test in handicap company down the line.
3.15 Ludlow - National Trust should make it the win in the seller is claases above these and ground track and distance will suit Won Well - didn´t take to fences when thrashed on his chasing debut 11 days earlier and, having just his second outing for the stable, was quickly dropped in class on this return to hurdling. An official mark of 130 greatly flatters him, but he was still the one to beat on previous form and he got the job done under a strong ride. His confidence should be boosted by this and he has now evidently found his sort of level.
3.50 Carlisle Ascendant is a worthy favourite ideally suited to a galloping track and  though Carlile is an easy track  has loads of potential and am on -Ascendent, impressive on his first try over hurdles, is rated 93 on the level and resumed here from a possible lenient mark. He came again when it was all over and will be suited by an extra half-mile - notebook
4.15 Ludlow and the ole bugger Classic Clover is one of the analyser lay animals - expect it to bring home the lay bacon againtoday under a claimer in a claimer race - will prob go short in running before out of puff  have layed it at current price of 13.5 but this is a horrible race with out of sort animals and will be easy to get a bet back in running - one more Dinar could be backed in this and if it is will be very interested after a 193 days since ran Classic Clover ran like the lil bad boy he has become - Dropped to rear 6th, ridden and sulking in last at 8th, tailed off 13th (op 14-1) - One More Dinar looked a big player when movingup easily on the final circuit, but he faded from the home turn and this return to action was needed.
4.50 Ludlow - Thievery from the Daly yard is one of his unusual animals for first time out and am backing with confidence - wow ran a stinker and Daly Yard remains on the sidelines - never put into the race at any stage- returning from a 178-day break, was second in this race last term on his comeback and was back down to his last winning mark. He was always playing catch up after getting behind when guessing at the third fence.

others - watch the betting on Candy Horse at Brighton Street Band -) very backwards but reported catching pigeons at home and think the penny has dropped Led until over 2f out, slight lead over 1f out until no extra inside final furlong (op 11-2 tchd 5-1) good run but no cigar finished 4th! but an improved effort and will win  his runner at kempton tonight should have an interest  Beauchamp  Xaira is expected to go in on its return to track and distance - messy race and not clever - ambled along in the pack and it turned into a sprint - couldn´t repeat her Windsor form ridden identically in this falsely-run affair and continues in search of her first win.

 good luck today all

Just one of those things Carole - you mean my unqualified lay on Youandme in the 5.20 - well its one of those things - any horse like this one and Classic Clover gets my lay finger itching - the betfair site freezing made it an exciting bet could not do anything about it -- - I love green books and that amount of money to lose without cover is in the least exciting!and at the worst amateur - but when you do something stupid its best to stand up and tell the group - should have bet simultaneously that way both bets struck but we get too familiar and don't expect the technology to fail - horses can do that all on their own!
