Downpatrick 2.20 Down Royal 3mile Soft JNwine.com Champions Chase.

Ground is going to be soft and this race will be a cracker - My first thoughts are that the Nightingale has a lot to do for an animal in its second season as a chaser cannot be faulted on going or  and has the top trainer jockey combination. but has only tried 3miles once before and pulled up in a class 1 .

This track and front runners mean the horse will have to stay and stay to get this 3miles - something that Sizing Europe cannot be guaranteed to do. He has a bit of a hoodoo in the eyes of many punters but he was only 4 l down on kauto Star in this race last year. I actually think he can get 3miles today better than his rivals in this ground. It is \ bet in running if he dawdles out of the gate as his usual his price will lengthen  and the ability to lay at short odds if he cannot quite get there ! 

The favourite is probably going to stay with Quito De La Roque and though he has won this distance in heavy ground that was in a novice chase and nothing came from behind him to frank that form has run well fresh once but better Dah with good ground and fitness on its side I cannot have it winning this today

 how can you not like Midnight chase? a smasher and we made loads with it last year Midnight legend animal should handle the soft today but they are much much better on slightly better ground if he gets into a rhythm the writing will be on the wall a long way out and is my selection  but tempered by the ground. 

Rare Bob is well over looked for the current price for a  3rd season chaser who has finished placed in a grade 3 and the place market appeals at big odds is the joker in the pack for me and a true stayer in soft ground  can easily reward in the place markt at decent odds
