going and track information Friday Bob T

Friday: Going, weather and non-runners

GOING: GOOD TO SOFT (GoingStick 6.8) (Rail movements adding 55yds per circuit to both Chase and Hurdle courses)  WEATHER (Grey cloud, possible drizzle) Fontwell is a funny old track - figure of 8 for the chase course and left handed sharp for the hdles and bumpers its generally flat with a short slightly uphill run in - a good back to lay horse on front runners who have not run there before.
GOING: HEAVY (Four hurdles moved on to fresh ground and fresh ground in back straight) WEATHER (White cloud, possible light rain)NON RUNNERS 1:10 Alonso De Guzman (2), 1:10 Follow On (1), 1:10 Ballylanigan (3), 3:10 Saga Surprise (11), 3:40 Appeal Denied (4), 4:10 Apache Brave (11) Hexham is one of my favourite tracks it is left handed undulating with fair fences  another good back to lay track as there is a very stiff uphill finish to the last bend and run in that catches front runners out before the last when it has a downhill run in - stiff track  that takes some getting
DOWN ROYAL GOING: Hurdle course - SOFT (Yielding in places); Chase course - YIELDING (Soft in places on hurdle course) fair right handed Irish track undulating with a fairly stiff uphill run in easy rather than galloping
CHURCHILL DOWNS GOING: DIRT: FAST;TURF: FIRM oh oh know virtually nothing about this track and am looking it up for the classic meeting trends and stats! anyone who can help please add to comments
